The Saturday races in Limanowa were the 5th Round of Polish Hill-Climb Championship. For drivers classified in FIA European Hill-Climb Callenge (FIA EHC), it was the day of trainings. 107 competitors appeared on the start line. An attraction for crowds of fans, who filled observation posts from the morning, was the start of 16 bolides. A driver of one of them was Polish – Paweł Rzadkosz who got into Lola B02/50 coming from Slovak stable of Vaclaw Janik.

In the morning training the fastest driver was Simone Faggioli (ITA, Norma M 20 FC, Best Lap SSD), his main rival did not finish two heats due to technical reasons. On the second place was Christoph Lampert (AUT, Osella FA 30, Rauch Power Sports). The fastest Polish driver was Andrzej Szepieniec driving his Mitsubishi Lancer. During the first training heat, a red flag appeared on the route after a harmless collision of Felix Pailer’s (AUT), Lancia Delta Integrale. In the second training heat, Sebastian Malessa (POL, Honda Civic) had a contact with a barrier.

The first GSMP race heat started quite nervously. The barrier was damaged by Kamil Strama (POL, Mitsubishi Lancer), and he caused the first break in the race. Then, Michał Jasłowski (Opel Tigra) had a collision and caused the next break. In GSMP classification, the fastest driver was Christoph Lampert, overtaking Szymon Łukaszczyk (POL, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO V AMS), Andrzej Szepieniec (POL, Mitsubishi Lancer), Sebastien Petit (FRA, Norma M 20 FC), Michał Ratajczyk (POL, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X RS), Dubai (POL, Mitsubishi Lancer Berg Monster, Berg Monster Team) and Paweł Rzadkosz. However, the fastest driver of the heat was Christian Merli, driving in a training, and he was faster than Christoph Lampert and Simone Faggioli.

After the second GSMP race heat which ran without any problems, Szymon Łukaszczyk was at the top of the table. He overtook Andrzej Szepieniec by 0.832 s and last year’s Polish champion Michał Ratajczyk by 7,293 s, and he gained prizes for the first place in general classification of cars with closed body. He strengthened his position in the season classification. In the heat, the fastest driver was again Christian Merli who drove in the training before the tomorrow FIA EHC round. He approaches slowly to his last year’s record (1: 51,398).
